This paper will present the general concept of system responsible for measurement and protection algorithms adaptation to the changing operating conditions of the complex power system objects. Changing of these algorithms parameters is forced by a high structural (many of basic units consisting protected object) and functional (number of possible operating modes) complexity and changeable in the wide range frequency of the measurement signals (in some operating modes). As protected object a combined power plant equipped with a steam and gas turbine-driven generators with frequency start up system has been taken.
