Abstract

Starting with the Park's equations of the synchronous generator, the paper presents the principles followed to obtain nonlinear models that can be directly used for computer simulations using Matlab with Simulink package. Also there are presented some comparative studies about an adaptive controller with application to excitation control of a synchronous generator, functioning in active power load regime. To design the adaptive controller are taken into consideration the RLSE estimator (recursive least square error) and respectively an estimator based on Givens orthogonal transformation.
