Abstract

The paper deals with the information processing strategies and considers their influence to fault detection performance index. Three basic control strategies Open-loop, Open-loop feedback and Closed-loop are used for information pro cessing for the purpose of fault detection. It is proved that the well-known and most often used Bayesian approach equals to Open-loop feedback strategy. Further it is showed that the application of Closed-loop strategy significantly improves the fault detection. All three strategies are illus trated in numerical examples.
