The author has recently published a paper related to intro ducing new morphological operators called WTMEDMOs [1]. He has demonstrated the dominance of WTMEDMOs in signal/image de-noising compared with linear, median, classical morphological filters, etc. The major objective of this paper is to use Genetic Algorithms to design the most efficient weight parameters, the structuring elements, and also the type of the operators for WTMEDMOs.
