This study describes the feasibility and importance of developing digital libraries with university subject characteristics. We list the detailed stepwise methods, procedures, and developmental plans during establishing the Modern Textile Info Reference Platform(MTIRP) at Donghua University library. We hope that our experience can help other universities establish their own subject specific digital libraries.
