Abstract

Protocols in the transport layer are basically classified by the amount of reliability they offer. Adoption of customized protocol, wherein the user can select the level of reliability for the pertinent communication, finds importance specifically in situations of activation and/or information retrieval of/from a robotized system. The developed architecture, Variable Reliability Dataflow Protocol (VRDP), provides transmission accountability in a transparent way, wherein users can select the degree of reliable connection necessary for the application.
