Abstract

We propose a modular, energy-aware network stack archi tecture of a sensor node as a flexible approach to design and plug-and-play various protocols at network and MAC layers, and to combine and analyse the impact of different strategies (inside the protocols) on performance and life time of the WSN. Moreover we present an implementation of the proposed architecture using our simulation frame work based on OMNeT++ and Mobility Framework and finally illustrate the possibilities of the framework. Our framework is modularly designed, allows code reusability and can be easily used and extended.
