We design and examine submersible micro- and
miniscale self-sustained power generation systems. The
proposed systems utilize and uniquely integrate advanced
electronics and permanent magnet generators driven by a
turbine. High-performance axial and radial topology
generators are tested, evaluated and characterized.
Different electronic modules are designed using distinct
converter topologies. The output voltage is stabilized at
any angular velocity and loads within the operating
envelope. The power density and efficiency of the power
generation systems are maximized.
