Knowledge Worker, Browsing Behavior, Intranet, WEB.
Extraction of human behavioral elements in electronic
spaces is a complex task. Knowledge of user behavior
and browsing principles is pertinent in decision making
processes, resource allocation, and design of WEB based
platforms and systems. The study introduces a novel for
mal approach to knowledge extraction of user behavior, and
particularly examines the knowledge worker browsing be
havior on a large corporate Intranet. Analysis of extracted
characteristic elements enabled us to identify common be
havioral features of knowledge workers. It has been ob
served that knowledge workers have a significant tendency
to form and utilize behavioral patterns on Intranet.
