Comparison of Output Noise Levels for High-Order OTA-C Filters

Various high-order transconductance-capacitor active filter structures are analysed by means of noise flow graphs. Their noise performances are compared for different high-order lowpass approximation designs. Contrary to the known active RC property, the IFLF configuration only exhibits optimal noise suppression well within the passband and not at the filter critical frequency.
